以前に部活動でバドミントンをしていた男の子が社会人になってからも競技を続けてました。
先日試合中に左にとっさに動いた瞬間に右の太ももの前に痛みが出たと当院にやってきました。

ここでfasciaを見るという感覚が本当に役に立つということが再認識されましたのでそんな症例をご紹介します。

主な訴え

下図二つの筋肉の間の部分になります。

矢印の方向にステップすると痛むとのこと。

エコー検査

エコー検査をした画像がこちらです

まずは大腿直筋や外側広筋に肉離れがないかを確認しましたが、それらしきものはありません。
痛くなってから三日経過しているので、もし肉離れだった場合でももうエコーで確認ができると思われます。

それぞれに解説を入れます。
画像の上の方にある二つの筋肉は先ほどの画像で出ている二つの筋肉です。

 
その深層にある中間広筋を含めて三つの筋肉が接合する部分にfasciaの重積らしきハイエコーがみられます。

画像は取れなかったのですが、この時点で左の同じ部位を確認してやはり右のfasciaが大きいことが確認できました。
ですのでこの痛みに対してfascia筋膜リリースを施術の選択肢としました。

リリース実施後

三つの筋肉の接合部のハイエコーがキレイになっているのがわかるかと思います。
